Office of Inspector General (OIG)

The Legal Services Corporation Office of Inspector General (LSC-OIG) was established pursuant to the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, 5 U.S.C. App., with the mission of preventing and detecting fraud and abuse, as well as promoting economy and efficiency, in the activities and operations of LSC and its grantees.  To carry out this mission, the LSC-OIG conducts audits, investigations, evaluations, and reviews.  The LSC-OIG maintains records reflecting those activities, as well as personnel, administrative, and other records generated in the course of its daily operations.
